Pasta with Mizithra Cheese & Brown Butter

A toothsome treat for cheese lovers.

  • 8 oz salted butter
  • 1 lb pasta
  • 6 oz Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra cheese


  • Melt butter in small sauce pan over medium high heat. Once melted, stir constantly with a whisk until butter starts to turn a light brown color.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes. Pour off the browned butter and leave the solids in the bottom of the pan to dispose of once cooled.
  • In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta until al dente. Drain and pour into serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle the Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra cheese over the cooked pasta and lightly toss. Then pour the Brown Butter over the cheese and pasta.
  • Toss well and serve immediately.


Serving Suggestions:
Try adding other favorite ingredients like sautéed garlic, mushrooms or bacon bits. Sprinkle Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra over your favorite vegetables, pastas and salads.
*Optimal results achieved with real butter. Olive oil and margarine are not recommended.
