Pasta with Mizithra Cheese & Brown Butter
A toothsome treat for cheese lovers.
- 8 oz salted butter
- 1 lb pasta
- 6 oz Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra cheese
Melt butter in small sauce pan over medium high heat. Once melted, stir constantly with a whisk until butter starts to turn a light brown color.
Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes. Pour off the browned butter and leave the solids in the bottom of the pan to dispose of once cooled.
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta until al dente. Drain and pour into serving bowl.
Sprinkle the Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra cheese over the cooked pasta and lightly toss. Then pour the Brown Butter over the cheese and pasta.
Toss well and serve immediately.
Try adding other favorite ingredients like sautéed garlic, mushrooms or bacon bits. Sprinkle Old Spaghetti Factory Mizithra over your favorite vegetables, pastas and salads.
*Optimal results achieved with real butter. Olive oil and margarine are not recommended.
